Biography:

I was born on June 30th, 1983 at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, NJ to Doris and Diego Giraldo.  I lived and grew up in Bergenfield, NJ, the next town over. Growing up, I played a lot of soccer.  To me, it was an every season kind of sport.  I played outdoor and indoor soccer.  While in high school, I played 4 year varsity soccer and was recognized at the league, county, and state level.  I went on to play soccer at Ramapo College of New Jersey and was their MVP as a freshman in 2001.  I later transferred to Nova Southeastern University where I became an interest of Lambda Theta Phi.

I joined Lambda Theta Phi because of several reasons…
  1. There were no other organizations I had seen that displayed the true meaning of “brotherhood” like the Lambdas do.
  2. The networking capabilities were/are immense.
  3. There were a lot of community service projects.
  4. The brothers at Beta Gamma were the easiest and most outgoing guys I had met at Nova.

Joining Lambda Theta Phi is an experience I will never forget.  Even though I pledged in the Spring of 2004, the memories I share with my line-brothers and other brothers will forever be part of my life.  This organization is for life.  Not just during college.

I consider myself a Lambda Man.  An Authentic Lambda.  “Cuz it takes Fuerza, Unity, and Utmost Respect…Cuz this separates us from all of the REST!!!”

Biography:

I decided to join this organization because I saw the great relationship that the bothers had amongst themselves, which other Greeks lacked. Theses guys were organized and goal oriented. After I pledged my life took a very drastic turn, a turn for the better. I knew that I was a leader, but after pledging my leadership skills improved and I became more efficient at things that I would work on. I also had never left the state of Florida till I joined. I’ve been to Las Vegas, Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Connecticut. I am very proud to be a Brother of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc.

Biography:

I was born on June 18th, 1985 in Germany, to Wilder and Sandra Chacon. I lived my entire life in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I am one of five children (Jessica, Nadya, Kevin, Erika). While I was young I would spend a lot of time in New York since I had family there. While I was growing up I enjoyed watching and playing baseball. I started playing when I was 12 years old. When I got to high school I tried out for the school team and made it my sophomore year. My season was cut short though, during a game I tore my ACL in my left knee. I waited a whole year before I had surgery. Towards the end of my junior year of high school I decided that I needed to go away for college. During my senior year I applied to three schools, all of which were in Florida. I got accepted into two of the three schools. I chose Nova Southeastern University because my oldest sister also attended there and figured it would make the transition a little easier. While at my orientation for school, I met brothers of Lambda Theta Phi, Latin Fraternity Inc. After meeting them and them talking to me about the fraternity, I became interested. Lambda Theta Phi was not like anyone else on the campus, I had more in common with them and they welcomed me with open arms. They were there to make my transition from high school to college easy as possible for me. They were like a big family and since I come from a big family that really made me more interested in them. Their determination to help out in the community and constant giving back made me want to be part of an organization like that. Pledging for them in the spring of 2004 was one of the best experiences I have had in my life.
